Challenge Description

Love (or lust) is in your heart, and you've downloaded a brand new app to fill the void...

You tap that as..I mean, app launcher, and the first screen you're presented with, is the one YOU'RE responsible for designing!

That's right. For this design challenge, your objective is to design the login screen of an app for a real dating service called "anarchy.love".

This is a REAL dating service.  I (Gary) launched it over a month ago.  https://anarchy.love is a dating service for self-described anarchists and libertarians. We currently have close to 900 members.

We may launch a mobile app, and I thought it would be a great challenge to allow the community to design the login screen!

Requirements

  • This welcome screen MUST include the following elements:
     - The logo (AI File - PNG File)
     - A login with facebook button
     - An "or" label
     - A textfield for "email"
     - A textfield for "password"
     - A login button
     - A "forgot password?" link

  • Please make sure you present a large enough mockup JPG so that we can see the elements.
  • You're free to customize the background however you wish, but make sure it's with good design in mind, relevant, and good contrast with the foreground elements.
  • Keep the design more simple with flat design in mind, as opposed to a lot of effects (crazy gradients, drop shadows, glows, bevels, etc..)

Good luck!

Pretty good entry overall. I'm not a fan of the bottom with all the hearts and the random (A) thrown in there, a bit too much happening in terms of illustration. Other than that, good.

Here my work. Thanks to any kind of comment!

Good entry overall. The only concern is the circular "F" button, which isn't the traditional facebook login blue button/color.

Hi Gary. This is my version of (maybe) the login screen for 'anarchy.love'. All the elements are included, and tried to keep it as simple as possible.

Thanks for watching my work!

Not enough contrast at all here. You can barely see most of the elements.

It's simple, but the "F" should be the facebook blue login button, and the email/password textfields are way too small in height. Need to increase those at least by 2x.

The bottom portion, the facebook blue gets a tad bit lost in contrast with the purple/pink. "Forgot your password?" is too small and hard to see. Not too bad though.

The color is just a bit too washed out. The email and password labels are too big. Things seem a bit blurred. Look at the highest rated entries for more ideas.

I'd say the biggest issue, which isn't that big, is the gray of the background and the top 2 form elements sort of getting lost in them. You can see them, but in relation to the prominent login button, they seem less prioritized. So, just a slight inconsistency issue.

Only rating it lower on color because you're not using the official facebook blue for their button, which is really important. Thanks.

The logo here doesn't contrast enough, specifically "anarchy" with the black background. "smash the state", same thing.

Hello, here is my design. Hope you like it.

I have a couple of questions,

**Can I enter more than once?
**How do I upload multiple files at once?

It's important to use the exact color of blue facebook prefers. The type also needs work here as well as alignment, and sizing of the icons for email/password. It feels less like a strong layout, and more loosely put together.

Biggest issue is color and contrast here. The email/password fields with the white text are hard to read, not enough contrast. The "or" being the styled the *same* as them also doesn't make sense.

There's issues with the typography here. A lot of different font sizes, some all caps, others not -- also alignment-wise, things are too condensed, the facebook login button not going 100% width across like the rest throws it off.

Issues with contrast/size (email / password labels), the form inputs are unnecessarily too small in width. Color is a bit random with all the icons of different colors.
