For this design challenge, you're tasked with designing a business card for a freelance designer. You can use Photoshop or Illustrator.
Watch the video above for instructions on how you can go about designing this business card in terms of document setup for PS / Illustrator. It will also show you how to use the required business card mockup to present the design.
The following information must be present on the business card design:
The only slight issue is I think the abstract design in the background might be coming through too much, near the "1234" in the number. Otherwise, great entry.
Hi :) This is my contest work. I don't know what's wrong with quality. Sorry for it, but i'm green :P
This has potential, but it's almost too simple that it becomes a bit bland. I'd prefer to see a tad bit more style / layout here. It's not bad though.
I hope it doesn't post multiple times because I tried submitting multiple times but it kept saying something went wrong.
The weaker parts would be the "John Doe" type, seems a bit bland, and clashes with the "Freelance Designer", plus the "specializing in web" text seems a bit too small. So, mainly just type issues here.
Thanks for the opportunity :)
Just to add some explanations for the icons

All the best
Layout-wise it's not too bad, but the 3 lines up top looks a little iffy on the corners (don't seem quite uniform / in parallel), plus I think it adds unnecessary design elements. I noticed most of the text, but not all (not the slogan) has a drop shadow. I would remove the shadow for sure.
The black-stroked, green boxes takes quite a bit away from the simplicity - and the lack of padding between the top of the 4 icons and the little down arrow should be expanded. Aside from that, not too much else happening here in terms of design, so not much to critique. Some small changes and it could be quite solid.
The biggest issue with this is the layout. Cascading the 3 blips of contact information, along with centering the slogan beneath them, along with the left aligned logo / "freelance design" throws off the layout and makes it hard to follow/scan. The blue is just a tad bit on the darker side so it doesn't stick out quite enough against the black. I do like the FLD -- just some minor adjustments and it could be a lot better. Ty.
My name is Diogo Silva and this´s my entry to the challenge
I hope you like it because i had spent my time in hard work on that
Thank you :)
PS: Hugs from Portugal :P
Not too much to be said about this one, as there's really not much layout design taking place. If it lacked anything, it might be uniqueness/creativity given this is for a designer. But for what it is, it's not bad. Thanks.
Final Entry, hope you like it.
