Challenge Description

For this design challenge, you're tasked with designing a logo for a children's youtube show called Nat'sPicks. "Nat" is short for "Natalie", and it's a fictional show based on a young girl (between age 7-10) who does product reviews on in-demand toys.

And in case you're wondering, yes, I have a 7 year old daughter. However, she does not have a youtube channel and will probably never have one. I just like to think of unique challenges. ;)

Requirements

  • It must be feminine (girly!). Use appropriate styles and colors to indicate this.
  • It must include "Nat'sPicks" as the logo type.
  • You're free to include a symbol along with the type, or you can leave it out.
  • White background only!
  • Avoid over-using graphic effects such as gradients, drop-shadows, bevels, etc.. Use good contrast, too!
  • Do not submit more than 3 entries please.
  • Deadline: November 20, 2016

Good lucky everyone!

Color and relevancy is great, but the proportions are off with the size of the type and the symbol, and the "s" on "Nats" is way too far off, it's confusing.

Another simple logo with icon and text. Any feedback welcomed.

I like the character, but it's more of a character design as opposed to the logo -- and what really kills it is the type that overlaps the character.

Not bad, but the character is a little bit bland and unrefined with the hair shape which is clearly a little bit chopped up and not based on perfect circles and angles.

The logo reflects a kid girl with the color pink to denote the innocence and elegance in a girl.

I prefer the other one above that you did, because things are a bit too jumbled here. Thanks.

This logo makes it understandable as it has YouTube's icon as play button, since its a YouTube channel and also has a symbolic form of a girl which represents channel founder.

If you truly designed that character yourself and didn't pull it from some other source, that is impressive. However in terms of logo design, it's a bit too complex for it to be truly effective. Thanks!

Hi Gary,

Thanks for this opportunity, hope that you and Natalie like it.

Not bad, but the symbol is a bit too abstract and lacks connection with the purpose of the youtube channel -- it is close. I still like everything else about it though..

It's pretty hard to read "NATS" and proportionally "Picks" is much too small compared to "NATS". It would get lost and unreadable at smaller sizes.

I would stick to just 1 color if your thinking of using slightly different shades. And the biggest issue is the complexity here. You're trying to convey way too much in this logo; it needs to be simplified by 10x! The type as well, a bit too much happening there. Thanks.

Hey Gary This is my First time entry , i hope you like it.

I'm usually fine with gradients, but when they're applied uniquely to each individual character, it becomes a bit much. Also, this sort of lacks relevancy.

Did you hand draw that yourself? Also, the colors seem a bit faded out, and there's heavy pixelation occurring. And the type overlapping the character design isn't ideal + the very elaborate butterfly is too much when joined with the character.

hi sir,
this my 2nd entry

This gets low scores because you want to avoid intricate detail (the butterfly reflection and the many sparkles -- completely unnecessary, the logo becomes better without them). Also, the slight change of hue (pink/purple) doesn't contrast enough.

hi sir,
Thanks for the give to opportunity. This my 1st time Particular challenge. I hope you will like it

Not much to judge here, because it's just a font with no other symbolism or anything uniquely applied to it. Sorry!

This is my entry, hope you like it :)

I like the actual symbolism designed, but you've added too many. I would focus on just using one symbol, as opposed to have 4 separate elements - The type could also use work, the "s" is completely separated.

Hello!
My clear and modern design for that challenge :)
Hope you like it.

This has potential, but I would use a more simple typeface. It would almost become lost at smaller sizes. I would opt for a thick, rounded, sans-serif font.

Simple enough to understand, unique enough to stand out.
